Hazel J. Anderson

I'm M.S. Student at MSU in the Department of Integrative Biology and the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior Program with funding from the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program  (2021 Awardee).

I completed my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in 2021 majoring in Environmental Biology/Plant Biology with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies.

My research interests involve interdisciplinary methods to improve plant conservation, such as data science, open science, plant community ecology, spatial ecology, remote sensing, and biogeography.  I am also interested to explore how intersectional environmentalism, inclusive conservation, traditional knowledge, and natural/social science collaboration can be used to improve conservation.
